It's time for us to honour the accomplishments of all black men and women who have contributed to the formation of black society. Thousands of films about black people and their history have been made, teaching children worldwide about black history.

There have been numerous black mental health resources built around the world to help black people struggling with things such as depression, stress, and anxiety. The Black Mental Health Alliance is one of them. Its mission is to develop, promote and sponsor trusted culturally-relevant educational forums, training and referral services that support the health and well-being of Black people and their communities.

Another black mental health resource is the Therapy for Black Men; just like its name, it focuses on giving therapy to black men, telling them that it’s alright to share their feelings and express themselves, breaking the stereotype of saying that men always have to be strong and never show emotions.

Black History Month is a time to honour the African American culture's past, present, and future contributions. It also serves as a reminder of everything the black community has had to go through the past hundreds of years.
